Nottinghamshire Police have launched an appeal to identify a suspect after thousands of pounds worth of jewellery were stolen from an office building in Annesley.
The incident occurred just before 5pm on 3 April 2025 at an office on Lake View Drive. According to police reports, an unidentified man gained unauthorised access to the premises and proceeded to help himself to a variety of valuable jewellery items. The total value of the stolen jewellery has been estimated at approximately £52,000.
The burglary was not reported to police until 24 April, several weeks after the incident took place. Since then, Nottinghamshire Police have been investigating the theft and are now releasing four images of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the crime.
PC Lee Lane, of Nottinghamshire Police, commented on the distress caused by the incident, saying, “The owner of the jewellery is naturally extremely upset about what happened and is desperate for their belongings to be returned to them.”
PC Lane added, “Nobody has the right to invite themselves into a property and help themselves to items that don’t belong to them. Whether it’s in a commercial building or a domestic property, burglary is a very serious offence which is never acceptable.”
Nottinghamshire Police are urging anyone who recognises the man in the released images to come forward with information. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police on 101, quoting incident number 458 of 24 April 2025. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously through Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
